This Cookie Policy explains how Achievr Guru ("Achievr," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the Website, why we use them, and how you can control them. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. Cookies store information such as your session ID, preferences, and device/browser details. Cookies can be:
- First‑party cookies — set by the Website you are visiting;
- Third‑party cookies — set by a domain different from the Website's domain (e.g., analytics or ad partners);
- Session cookies — deleted when you close the browser;
- Persistent cookies — remain until a set expiry or you delete them.
We also use similar technologies (collectively with cookies, "Tracking Technologies"), described in Section 4.
2. Why we use cookies
We use cookies for the purposes below. Specific cookies may change over time as we improve the Service.
- Strictly necessary (essential): enable core functions such as login, session management, security (including anti‑fraud and abuse prevention), and cookie consent. These cannot be switched off via our banner.
- Functional: remember choices (e.g., language, UI preferences).
- Analytics & performance: understand how visitors use the Website, diagnose issues, and improve features (e.g., page views, events, load times).
- Marketing/advertising (optional): measure campaign performance and, where permitted, personalize ads on third‑party platforms. These cookies are used only with your consent where required by law.
3. Cookies we may use
- Achievr first‑party cookies: authentication/session, billing state, consent preferences, and product settings.
- Analytics: Google Analytics/Tag Manager, Amplitude, Hotjar (heatmaps/session insights).
- Security: Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent automated abuse on forms.
- Advertising/measurement (if enabled): Meta (Facebook) Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Snapchat Pixel, Google Ads/Ads Conversion.
We aim to provide an up‑to‑date list of key cookies and subprocessors at /legal/subprocessors and within the cookie banner's "Details" or "Preferences" view. Partners may set additional cookies per their policies.
4. Similar technologies
- Pixels / web beacons: tiny graphics that load from a server and record visits, opens, or actions (e.g., Meta Pixel, email tracking pixels to gauge deliverability and engagement).
- Local storage (HTML5) & session storage: stored by your browser to keep preferences, caching, and app state (can persist more data than cookies).
- Fingerprinting techniques: a combination of device/browser attributes that can identify a device. We avoid using fingerprinting for advertising without consent and use technical measures only for essential security where permitted by law.
- Mobile identifiers (future apps): if we later release mobile apps, SDKs may use IDFA/GAID for analytics/ads subject to your device settings and consent. We will update this Policy when mobile apps launch.
5. Your choices
